Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) confirmed that the Interpol Red Notice (IRN) requests for graft suspects Mohammad Riza Chalid and Jurist Tan are still under assessment at Interpol Headquarters in Lyon, France.
“It is in the assessment process by Interpol,” said Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia, on Tuesday (7/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Riza Chalid is a suspect in a corruption case involving crude oil and refinery product management at Pertamina’s Subholding and KKKS contractors from 2018 to 2023. Meanwhile, Jurist Tan, a former special staff to the Minister of Education, is accused of corruption in the education digitalization program between 2019 and 2022.
Untung clarified that revoking their passports does not remove citizenship but restricts international movement. “Passport revocation limits travel and renders one’s stay illegal in another country without legal documentation,” he explained.
Riza also faces money laundering charges, while Jurist’s case involves alleged misuse of authority in procurement policies.
