Inp.polri.go.id - Bangka. Two police officers from Bangka Sub-regional Police Chief Warrant Officer Agus Widiyatmiko and Sergeant Zaldy Kurniawan, have been selected to join the United Nations Formed Police Unit (FPU) or Garuda Bhayangkara FPU 7 Minusca, serving a one-year peacekeeping mission in Bangui, Central African Republic.

“We are scheduled to depart this month for a year-long UN mission in Bangui, Central Africa, which is currently experiencing conflict and preparing for a presidential election,” said Chief Warrant Officer Agus on Tuesday (7/10/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.

Before deployment, both officers underwent seven months of pre-assignment training at the International Mission Center of the Indonesian National Police (INP) in Serpong, Tangerang. The training covered weapons handling, English and French language proficiency, tactical operations, and driving UN-standard left-hand vehicles.

The training concluded with a five-day endurance march in Lembang, West Java, followed by a beret ceremony led by Inspector General Amur Chandra and an official send-off by INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
