Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Indonesian tennis duo Janice Tjen and Aldila Sutjiadi won the WTA 250 Chennai Open doubles crown in India, defeating top seeds Monica Niculescu of Romania and Storm Hunter of Australia 7-5, 6-4.

“This is a special win for us as a team. We’ve worked hard to build chemistry and consistency throughout the season.”,” Aldila said after the match in a statement published by the WTA on Monday (3/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com. 

The second-seeded Indonesians converted four of six break points and maintained a strong 77.5 percent first-serve success rate during the one-hour, 21-minute final. The pair’s aggressive baseline play and quick reflexes at the net proved decisive.

It marks their first WTA doubles title together, following earlier success at a WTA 125 event in Suzhou. For Janice, the victory added to her recent triumph at the WTA 250 Guangzhou Open.
