inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) inaugurated Bahlil Lahadalia as minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) on Monday (19/8/24).

Bahlil's inauguration as Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources is stated in Presidential Decree Number 92P of 2024 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of State Ministers in the Advanced Indonesian Cabinet for the 2019-2024 Period.

“In the name of God I vow that I will be loyal to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and will carry out all statutory regulations for the sake of my service to the nation and state. In carrying out my duty, I will uphold the office ethics, work to the best of my ability, with a full sense of responsibility,” vows Bahlil during his oath of office.

Meanwhile, Minister Bahlil previous position as the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM, was replaced by Rosan Roeslani.

On the same occasion, President Jokowi also appointed Supratman Andi Agtas as Minister of Law and Human Rights, and Angga Raka Prabowo as Deputy Minister of Communications and Information.

Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana said the cabinet reshuffle this time was to support the transition from the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin government to the Prabowo Subianto government.

"The appointment of ministers, deputy ministers and agency heads is necessary to prepare and support the transition of government so that it runs well, smoothly and effectively," said Coordinator Ari.
