Inp.polri.go.id – West Papua. On his third day visiting Papua, President Joko Widodo visits Pancasila Monument at Tanama Village, Fakfak Regency, West Papua Province on Friday (11/24/2023). Arrived at 06:50 a.m., the President was welcomed by Fakfak Regent Untung Tamsil along with his key officials. While at the site, Jokowi gave his signs on Pancasila Monument as mark of honour for the fallen heroes of Tanama Village. “This is an important monument as it acts as reminder for us in remembering our fallen heroes from Tanama,” says Jokowi during press conference on Friday (11/24/2023). The Village Chief of Tanama, Sukur Weripih, gave his remarks hoping that his people would always remember the sacrifice of their heroes for independence. He hopes that their story would ignite the fire of Tanaman in further developing the village and the country. After visiting the monument, Jokowi continues his working visit to Teluk Bintuni Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) site to inaugurate the National Strategic Project of Tangguh Train 3. Later on, Jokowi would also visit Sorong to cast the first stone of PKU Muhammadiyah Unimuda Sorong Hospital. (ad/ndt/pr/nm)
