Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia’s top men’s singles shuttler Jonatan “Jojo” Christie clinched the Denmark Open 2025 title after a dramatic comeback victory over world No.1 Shi Yu Qi of China, 13–21, 21–15, 21–15, in the final at Jyske Arena, Odense, on Sunday night (19/202/2025).
“I kept my focus after the first game. The key was patience and controlling the tempo,” he said after the match, celebrating his first BWF Super 750 title this year, as quoted by antaranews.com.
Jojo initially struggled to counter Shi’s relentless attacks but regained momentum in the second game by slowing down the pace and forcing long rallies. In the decider, he dominated early, leading 5–0, and sealed victory with a confident 21–15 finish.
The 27-year-old became Indonesia’s only champion at the Denmark Open 2025, after men’s doubles pair Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri finished runners-up.
