Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Indonesian men’s singles shuttler Jonatan Christie secured a place in the Korea Open 2025 final after defeating his junior, Alwi Farhan, in the semifinals of the BWF World Tour Super 500 on Saturday (27/9/2025).

“Thank God I reached my second final this year after the Indonesia Masters in January. It’s been a long wait with many ups and downs,” he said in a statement, as reported by antaranews.com

At Suwon Gymnasium, Jonatan recovered from losing the first game to win 18-21, 21-14, 21-15. It marks his first final appearance since January. Despite the setback, he relied on patience and experience to overturn the match.

Jonatan also praised Alwi’s performance, calling it a sign of rapid progress for the 19-year-old. Looking ahead, he vowed to play freely and give his best in the final against either Denmark’s Anders Antonsen or Taiwan’s Chou Tien Chen.
