inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. Aceh Police Chief (Kapolda Aceh) Inspector General Drs. Ahmad Haydar, S.H., M.M., issued an instruction to his staff following the information about the scarcity of cooking oil in various regions.
Kapolda Aceh ordered his subordinates to continue to monitor the supply and distribution of cooking oil to prevent a shortage in the area.
"We have ordered all the staff to continue to monitor the supply and distribution of cooking oil so that we can anticipate the shortages in the market," said Kapolda Aceh after inspecting the availability of the product in Banda Aceh on Thursday (17/3).
Monitoring was carried out in two locations, in Kampung Mulia warehouse, Banda Aceh, and the packaged cooking oil distributor warehouse in Pagar Air, Aceh Besar.
They found no cooking oil hoarding, and Kapolda Aceh reported that the stock is sufficient for the whole province.
Kapolda Aceh said that the bulk cooking oil in the area was sold for Rp. 14,000 per liter.
"We urge the people not to be panicked about the cooking oil stocks. Buy cooking oil as you needed and don't buy too much," he explained.
Speaking of preparations ahead of Ramadan, Kapolda Aceh ensured that his institution would maintain the availability of nine basic supplies and will form a Food Supervision Team to supervise.
"We will not let anyone sell expired goods and others," explained Kapolda Aceh.
