inp.polri.go.id-Pontianak. The Head of the West Kalimantan Provincial Police (Kapolda Kalbar), Inspector General Drs. Suryanbodo Asmoro, M.M., along with the local Forkopimda, conducted a review of the production and distribution system of cooking oil at PT Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia, North Pontianak District, Pontianak City.
"From our inspection, we have decided that the cooking oil producer must allocate 70% of production per day for the people of West Kalimantan," stated Kapolda Kalbar in Pontianak.
On that occasion, Kapolda Kalbar appealed to the public not to panic about the availability of cooking oil in West Kalimantan.
"The cooking oil producers have agreed that about 70% of their 500 tons of production per day will be distributed through agents and shops to meet the needs of the people in West Kalimantan," said Kapolda Kalbar.
He adds that the police are ready to secure and monitor the cooking oil distribution to the people.
Meanwhile, the West Kalimantan Regional Secretariat, Harisson Azroi, also appealed to the public not to panic in responding to the cooking oil problem.
"The point is, PT Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia West Kalimantan Branch, has agreed to distribute around 70% of their total cooking oil production of 500 tons per day," he said.
Kapolda Kalbar added that his party will continue to work diligently in facing Ramadhan so that the people's needs for cooking oil can be met.
Head of PT Wilmar Cahaya Indonesia Branch West Kalimantan, Muhammad Erwin, said that in a day, his company can produce around 500 tons of CPO, and the production is processed into cooking oil.
"We will prioritize the production of cooking oil to fill the void that occurs in West Kalimantan, and hopefully can help the community in meeting the needs of cooking oil," he explained.
