The police have implemented one-way traffic engineering at KM 66 of the Cikampek Toll Road to anticipate the density of vehicles from Jakarta to Bandung during the Eid return flow on Sunday, (08/05/22). The Director of Traffic Unit (Dirlantas) of West Java Police (Polda Jabar) Commissioner Romin Thaib, S.I.K., M.Sc., said that the one-way system is implanted from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Road to KM 66 Cikampek Toll Road, while contraflow is still being implemented at KM 66 to KM 28 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. Dirlantas also stated that the contraflow policy was carried out to anticipate congestion from Jakarta to Bandung. "So far, we have not found any severe traffic congestion due to the one-way contraflow policy, and the traffic flow is still under control," stated Dirlantas Polda Jabar. Meanwhile, Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, S.I.K., M.T.C.P., said that his party had finished tidying up the traffic cones and water barriers to launch contraflow from Jakarta to Cikampek. "Currently, contraflow is still being carried out from KM 47 to KM 28 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road. From KM 28 to Halim we are still implementing normal traffic flows, so hopefully, traffic from both east and west in Jakarta can run smoothly," concluded Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya.
