Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) member Alenus Tabuni alias Kobuter reportedly moved by the police from Ilaga to Timika. Police adds that the investigation process on Kobuter is still on-going.
Damai Cartenz Ops PR Chief, Superintendent Bayu Suseno says that Kobuter has been moved on February 22nd, 2024, at 06.00 am by Caravan PK-NGA airplane.
“He arrived at 08.15 pm and was escorted by Puncak Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation personnel led by head unit First Police Inspector Nur Kholis,” said Bayu quoted from Tempo on Friday (2/23/2024).
Furthermore, Bayu said that Damai Cartenz Ops Investigation Unit of Law Enforcement Task Force in Timika is still scouring and researching the criminal records of Kobuter.
“This initiative was taken to hold Kobuter accountable in the face of law, and deliver justice to the victim, in accordance to the commitment of Damai Cartenz Ops in enforcing the law in Papua,” told Bayu.
Moreover, Bayu noted that Kobuter was once helped a leader of KKB, Numbuk Telenggen. In his role of helping KKB, Kobuter was said to deliver guns and ammunitions to the group during gunfights.
In his remarks, Bayu implores public to remain calm and trust the security officials. “We asked you to jointly support the law enforcement for the sake of our own peace and security,” implore Bayu.
Previously the Damai Cartenz Ops have arrested Kobuter on Sunday February 18th, 2024 in front of Ilaga District Medical Center.
