Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named two high-ranking private sector executives as suspects on Monday in the ongoing investigation into the fraudulent allocation of Indonesia’s 2023-2024 Hajj quotas.

"In this case, the KPK has named two persons as suspects, namely ISM, the Operational Director of PT Makassar Toraja, and ASR, the Commissioner of PT Raudah Eksati Utama," said KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu at the KPK Headquarters, on Monday (30/3/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.

The suspects, identified as Ismail Adham and Asrul Aziz Taba, allegedly facilitated illegal kickbacks to officials within the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Their naming follows the previous detention of former Minister of Religious Affairs Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, as investigators trace a financial trail that resulted in Rp 622 billion in state losses. 

While some public narratives suggested a lack of evidence regarding illicit payments, Asep confirmed that the commission has uncovered significant money flows from these private entities to government stakeholders. Both suspects now face multiple charges under the Anti-Corruption Law for their roles in the procurement irregularities that have rocked the national pilgrimage system.
