Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI) confirmed on Monday (30/3/2026) that it will maintain its peacekeeping presence in Lebanon despite a recent artillery strike that killed one Indonesian soldier and injured three others.

"TNI remains committed to fulfilling its global peacekeeping mandate under the United Nations professionally and responsibly, while prioritizing the safety of our personnel," said Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, the  Head of the TNI Information Center, as reported by antaranews.com.

The military command has ordered all troops stationed in Southern Lebanon to increase operational vigilance in accordance with UN standard protocols as regional hostilities escalate.

Following the Sunday strike in Adshit al-Qusyar, the fallen soldier, Chief Private Farizal Rhomadhon, is currently being prepared for repatriation with assistance from the Indonesian Embassy in Beirut. Meanwhile, UNIFIL continues to investigate the specific origin of the artillery fire that hit the Indonesian post. TNI leadership emphasized that international peacekeeping remains a constitutional mandate, and contingency plans are being finalized to adapt to the rapidly changing security dynamics on the ground.
