Father Paulus Kristian Seswantoko, Executive Secretary of the Indonesian Bishops' Conference (KWGI), expressed his gratitude and deep appreciation to the Indonesian National Police (INP) and the Indonesian National Military (TNI) for their dedication in maintaining the security of the holidays.

In an official statement, Father Paulus revealed that the presence of security forces is very important in ensuring that Christians can carry out Christmas services on December 24 and 25, 2024, as well as New Year's celebrations in 2025, without any disturbance. 

"We felt how this year's Christmas celebrations are going well in almost all regions of Indonesia," said Father on Saturday (1/4/202)

He added that the congregation who did the church service, whether on Christmas Eve, Christmas morning, or during the New Year's service, felt safe and comfortable. This peaceful atmosphere is a great blessing for Christians who celebrate the joy of Christmas with their families.

Father Paulus also highlighted the role of security forces who are not only present as security guards, but also as companions on the journey of the congregation in celebrating Christmas.

As a form of gratitude, Father Paulus expressed his highest appreciation to the security forces, especially the Police and TNI, for their dedication.

"For all this dedication, we express our deepest gratitude," says Paulus.

This safe and peaceful celebration of Christmas 2024 and New Year 2025 reflects the harmony and close cooperation between the community and the security forces.

Hopefully this spirit of unity will continue to be maintained in building a peaceful and prosperous Indonesia.
