Inp.polri.go.id - Bandarlampung.  Lampung Regional Police Chief Inspector General Helmy Santika monitored Bakauheni Port in South Lampung to ensure safe travel for Java-bound holidaymakers on Saturday (6/4/2024). Expecting peak traffic on 6 and 7 April 2024, the Lampung Police implemented a delay system at the port. The system aims to ease congestion by postponing vehicle arrivals, strategically placed at rest areas along the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road, Chief Helmy said. This proactive measure came amidst reports of increasing passenger numbers, reaching 7,258 units from the previous 6,470 units. Rudi Sunarko, the General Manager of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry Branch Bakauheni, reiterated fleet preparation and provided additional facilities for Eid holiday travelers' comfort. He urged passengers to purchase Ferizy online tickets early. Such preparations reflect a commitment to smoother journeys during the holiday rush. (mg/sy/pr/nm)
