Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung.  A joint rescue team safely evacuated a leopard found inside Hotel Anugerah on Jalan Padasaluyu, Sukasari District, Bandung, West Java, on Monday morning (6/10/2025).

Sukasari Police Office Chief Senior Inspector Ni Wayan Mirasni said officers received a report from hotel staff around 7 am local time and immediately rushed to the scene.

“The leopard was on the second floor, right in front of a guest room,” she said, as quoted by antaranews.com.

The rescue team used tranquilizer darts and nets to limit the animal’s movement before it was subdued around 9.25 am. The leopard was then placed into an iron cage and transported from the building without injuries.

Authorities are investigating whether the leopard is the same one that escaped from quarantine at Lembang Park and Zoo in West Bandung last week.

Police temporarily evacuated hotel guests and sealed off the area during the operation to ensure public safety.
