inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Manpower Yassierli urged the younger generation to strengthen their competitiveness through three key aspects of the "triple readiness" concept: strengthening technical skills, soft skills, and market entry readiness.
"To face these three challenges, technical skills and soft skills alone are not enough. They must possess market entry readiness, or the readiness to understand the dynamics of the global job market," explained Minister Yassierli on Tuesday (3/10/2026).
He emphasized that these three skills are crucial as the world of work is facing global uncertainty, increasingly fierce international competition, and increasingly massive technological disruption.
In a situation like this, he continued, young people are required to be more adaptive so they don't get left behind when entering the workforce and are able to seize new opportunities that arise.
Furthermore, Yassierli highlighted that technological developments have brought about major changes in the industrial world. Automation and artificial intelligence (AI) are no longer merely tools, but have transformed the way industries work and develop.
"This phenomenon has triggered a surge in demand for high-skilled labor. Companies are now seeking human resources who are not only capable of operating technology, but also skilled at designing, managing, and collaborating with AI systems," explained the Minister of Manpower.
He explained that eight of the 11 core skills predicted to be in high demand by 2030 are human skills, emphasizing cognitive, social, and self-management abilities that differentiate humans amidst the rapid technological advancement.
These 11 skills include leadership and social influence; analytical thinking; creative thinking; resilience, flexibility, and agility; curiosity and lifelong learning; motivation and self-awareness; empathy and active listening; and talent management.
