inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, attended the Creative Economy Talent Community Meeting (TEKO Teh Ekraf) forum in Bali. The forum is to explore the potential of the local creative industry in opening up quality jobs.

"The diversity of creative economy actors in Bali is a strength in itself that can be an example for other regions. Collaboration between the central and regional governments is very important in encouraging the growth of this sector," he said in his statement quoted from RRI, Sunday (6/15/2025).

According to him, the current issue of the scarcity of job opportunities is not only because of the impact of global economic problems alone. He said that the other factor is indeed a shift in job trends that are more towards the creative industry.

Teuku said that based on a report from a renowned university in Indonesia, as many as 60 percent of graduates from various faculties are working in the creative industry sector. This has also become a phenomenon that has caught the attention of the Ministry of Manpower.

He said that this forum was used to identify the needs and challenges faced by local creative talents. The results will be the basis for compiling more targeted training and mentoring programs.

Minister Teuku is also committed to continuing to support the local ecosystem by providing training facilities and strengthening the capacity of creative industry players. This is to show that the creative economy is able to open up quality jobs and become The New Engine Of Growth.

"This activity is the first step in compiling a strategic program based on regional needs. This is with the hope of strengthening the sustainability of the creative economy sector at the regional and national levels," he explained.

Throughout 2024, the Ministry of Creative Economy has assisted 81 creative hubs in various regions of Indonesia including Bali as a center for talent development and filling content for the creative economy sub-sector.
