inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Law and Human Rights is intensifying the Anti-Stunting Child Program in correctional institutions and special detention centers for women, in order to make the national program to prevent and reduce cases of stunting successful.

"This is our concern for children who are born in these women's prisons," said the Director of Health Care and Rehabilitation at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, M. Hilal on Thursday (10/10/24).

Hilal said that this anti-stunting program is to ensure that children who are born or incarcerated in women's prisons receive good care and nutrition.

"We give these children milk, intake, and nutritious additional food so stunting can be avoided," said Director Hilal.

He stated that this Anti-Stunting Child Program shows that the state is present and cares for its citizens, even though they are behind bars serving their sentences.

"In essence, society is not imprisoning one's mind and soul, but the state only reduces their freedom of movement," said Director Hilal.

He emphasized that with this anti-stunting program, these special prisons and detention centers for women will have to protect and care for children in that environment.
