inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Director General of General Legal Administration (AHU) of the Ministry of Law (Kemenkum) Widodo emphasized that innovation and collaboration are important in improving public services.

"Excellent public services can only be achieved through maximum performance from all elements of the organization," said Widodo in a morning assembly in Jakarta, Monday (5/19/2025), as quoted by Antaranews.

On that occasion, he also said that improving performance and integrity are also the main foundations in carrying out the duties of state civil servants (ASN) within the Ministry of Law.

According to him, innovation is the key to answering global challenges and answering the needs of the community.

However, said Widodo, innovation is not just a matter of technology, but also a matter of the courage to start from simple things, namely discipline and empathy.

Therefore, he continued, innovation must be based on a correct understanding of the needs of the community.

"If we are able to define the problem correctly, we almost have the solution," he said.

Widodo also highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration, especially in supporting strategic government programs such as the Red and White Village/Sub-district Cooperative (KDMP/KKMP), which is currently being worked on by the Directorate General of AHU.

KDMP or KKMP is an economic institution whose members are village or sub-district communities, which is formed to strengthen the local economy and improve community welfare through the principles of mutual cooperation, kinship, and joint participation.

The program has begun to be implemented in West Java through regional reviews and the launch of village deliberation activities involving various ministries and related institutions.

To that end, he emphasized that innovation will be meaningless without collaboration. Thus, the commitment of all elements of the organization is the key to the success of the transformation of public services that have a broad impact on the community.

Widodo said that innovation is part of the basic values of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in addition to professionalism, accountability, synergy, and transparency.

With the same spirit, Widodo invited all ASN to continue to think creatively, openly, and grow in order to realize superior legal services that side with the community.
