Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The mother of an 11-month-old baby sold by his biological father, thanked the Indonesian National Police (INP), particularly the Tangerang Metropolitan Sub-regional Police, for locating her child.

"Without the help of the Tangerang Police Chief and the Criminal Investigation Unit, I don’t know how my life would be right now," the mother, identified as RD, said in a statement on Wednesday (9/10/2024), as quoted by antaranews.com.

She praised the police for their swift response after reporting her baby missing on 30 September 2024.

"The process was incredibly quick. I reported it in the afternoon, and by that evening, my child was found safe," she added.

INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko confirmed the arrest of RA (36), the father, who sold his baby for Rp 15 million.

He emphasized that the INP is committed to protecting vulnerable groups, especially children, and highlighted the establishment of the Directorate for Women, Children, and Human Trafficking Crimes as a strategic response.
