National Police asked the watching together events of the 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup Finals, which played Indonesia vs Thailand, to be cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, especially the arrival of new Omicron variant. "Pandemic is still ongoing, the transmission is also stronger and around us. National Police advise that such watching together events to be cancelled", Chief of Public Information Bureau of National Police, Police Inspector General Rusdi Hartono, said on Wednesday (29/12/21). Police Inspector General Rusdi Hartono asked the people to watch the final match at home to minimise Covid-19 transmission. "It is better to watch at home. Avoid the crowds outside. If there are crowds, it is prone to Covid-19 transmission. Therefore, there should be no watching together events", he explained. Despite watching at home, Police Inspector General Rusdi Hartono affirmed that the feeling would be the same compared to watching together. The viewers could also give spirit and prayer despite the watching together event cancellation. "(Watch it) at home. We still could give spirit and may Indonesian team become the champion of this AFF Cup championship", he affirmed.
