Nine day of Shipwrecked Accident in West Kalimantan Waters, West Kalimantan Regional Police Deployed Helicopter to Search for Drowning Victims

West Kalimantan Regional Police again deployed Bell 429 Police helicopter to carry out air search for 18 sunken ships in West Kalimantan waters, Thursday (07/22/2021). "We have just carried out search for nearly 60 nautical miles at the location of the marine accident at several points in the waters of West Kalimantan," Director of Water and Air Police of West Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Benyamin Sapta T explained. Director of Water and Air Police of West Kalimantan Regional Police said during the search, they had not found any victims. However, visually, it can be seen there are two ships that have become victims, which are still in the waters of West Kalimantan. Director of Water and Air Police of West Kalimantan Regional Police estimates currently the victims have drifted far enough away, after entering the 9th day of searching for sinking fishing boat. Then, joint officers are currently still searching for the victims of the sinking ship until tomorrow, Friday (07/23/2021). A final search will be carried out by the joint SAR team. "Tomorrow, search for victims has been completed by the joint SAR team and continued with sowing of flowers," Director of Water and Air Police of West Kalimantan Regional Police explained. Director of Water and Air Police of West Kalimantan Regional Police hopes on last day of the search for victims of the sinking ship, joint officers can find them.
