Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. Nine Indonesian citizens detained by Israeli forces during the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) 2.0 mission to Gaza arrived safely at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Sunday (24/5/2925).

“They were detained by the Israeli military but are now home safely,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, who welcomed the group at the airport, as cited by antaranews.com.

He expressed gratitude to Indonesian institutions and foreign governments, including Türkiye, Jordan, and Egypt, for supporting the release and repatriation.

The activists were deported from Israel to Türkiye before flying to Jakarta via Dubai. Some reported experiencing physical abuse during detention. The Foreign Ministry condemned Israel’s actions as violations of international law and humanitarian principles.

Indonesia, which had coordinated closely with multiple partners, reaffirmed its commitment to protect its citizens abroad and to support humanitarian efforts for Palestinians.
