Inp.polri.go.id - Lombok. Injourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), the operator of Mandalika International Street Circuit,has confirmed on Saturday (28/9/2024) that it will not hire a rain shaman for the 2024 MotoGP Mandalika at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit in West Nusa Tenggara. 

“We are humans who believe in God; we leave everything to Him,” said Troy Reza Warokka, ITDC's Commercial Director, as quoted by antaranews.com., 

Rain shaman Rara Istiati Wulandari was famously employed during the inaugural MotoGP Mandalika in 2022. However, ITDC decided against this practice for the last two series (2023 and 2024).

Troy emphasized that he and his diverse team will rely on prayer for favorable weather during the event. 

He noted their past success, saying, “We pray for good weather, and thank God, we felt supported.”

The MotoGP Mandalika 2024 is set to take place from 27 to 29 September 2024, with the main Grand Prix race scheduled for Sunday, at 2 pm local time.
