Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Agriculture Vice Minister Sudaryono inaugurated the development of biomass ecosystem in Tasikmalaya, West Java. This development is a collaboration between State Electric Company (PLN) and the Ministry of Agriculture.
"We will expand this activity throughout Indonesia," says Sudaryono on Friday (9/27/2024).
According to him, there are 46 PLTU generators ready to support this development.
In his statement, he explained that the Ministry of Agriculture and PLN goal is to educate farmers to utilize land, where unused land can be planted with rice, corn, or other food crops.
Furthermore, he said that for critical land, he suggested planting Indigofera and Kaliandra. These plants can make the land more fertile and the plant is highly nutritious for livestock.
"The livestock weight from 18 kilos went up to almost 40 kilos, after 3 months of being given Indigofera leaves. This shows the importance of nutrition from these plants," he explained.
President Director of PLN, Iwan Agung Firstantara, said that this event was a development from last year. They are now 'scaling up' from 30 thousand trees to 100 thousand trees on 100 hectares.
In addition, PLN will also collaborate with Gapoktan and the community for intercropping. On this occasion, 205 goats were also handed over as initial capital for the community.
"We have implemented 46 locations in Indonesia. And next year there will be 52 new locations," he concluded.
