The Chairperson of Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI) of North Sulawesi, Abd Wahab Abd Gafur appreciates the conducive election in the province. “We are grateful that we have done our duties as the people of Indonesia, which is to vote on Election day. We are thankful that the election goes peacefully, secured, and smoothly,” said Gafur on Thursday (2/15/2024). According to him, the security and conducive situation during even after the voting procession was over are thanks to the people contribution who supports the security forces in maintaining the peaceful condition. “I convey my gratitude to the security officials, both from the police, military, and community organizations, also the general public for your team works in maintaining peaceful and secure voting process,” thanked Gafur. On the other hand, he also implores all to continue to maintain the situation until the election process is over. Whoever wins the election, he urged people not to celebrate excessively. “We urged you to continue maintain unity and harmony instead as the good citizens of North Sulawesi.
