inp.polri.go.id -  The North Sumatra Regional Police, vowed to eradicate online slot gambling in North Sumatra. Online gamblers are considered to have disturbed the community. According to North Sumatra Police Head of Public Relations, Police Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, this action to eradicate online slot gambling was carried out in accordance with orders from the Criminal Investigation Agency of the National Police, which asked all Regional Polices in Indonesia to eradicate online gambling. “Yes, we have received instructions from the the National Police, and we will follow that up," said the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police. "We have also ordered our police ranks to do the same, and before this instruction was issued, we have also solved some online gambling cases," explained the Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police. Commissioner Hadi said that online slot gambling has already begun to disturbed the community and has a very negative impact on children. In addition to eradicating online gambling, his party will also take action against anyone who makes online gambling advertisements on social media. He stated that online gambling advertisements could be charged with the Information and Electronic Transactions Act (UU ITE). "We will also act upon the online slot gambling advertisements that have popped out on social media recently," said Commissioner Hadi.
