Inp.polri.go.id - Kupang. The Nusa Tenggara Timur Regional Police's Professional and Security Division (Bidpropam) raised its commitment on Wednesday (16/10/2024) to addressing allegations of assault and intimidation against a journalist from Floresa online media.

"We take the complaint from the Floresa journalist very seriously," Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, the NTT Police Head of Public Relations, said, as reported by antaranews.com.
He explained that upon receiving the report, the division promptly formed an investigation team to handle the case.The investigative team is scheduled to conduct an on-site audit of the incident this Friday.
"Our team will go directly to the field to investigate the security measures that allegedly led to the assault by the police officer involved," Arisandy explained.
The complaint was filed by the journalist on 11 October 2024, who claimed to have suffered assault by a member of the Manggarai Sub-regional Police. As a result, the complainant reported experiencing pain and trauma.
"After the audit and investigation, we will provide updates on the case's progress," Chief Ariasandy said.
