Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police’s Narcotics Investigation Directorate intercepted a drug trafficking attempt at the Tanah Abang Station parking area on Friday.

Officers arrested three male suspects, identified as RA (30), TB (25), and AW (33), after receiving tips regarding a suspicious transaction at the busy transit hub.

"Our team moved in after confirming the suspects' presence, initially discovering 10 kilograms of marijuana concealed within a carry-on bag," said Assistant Senior Inspector Arie, the Head of Unit 1, Sub-directorate 3, on Saturday (14/2/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The investigation quickly expanded to a rented house in Pamulang, South Tangerang, where police uncovered an additional 5.507 kilograms of the illicit substance. In total, authorities seized 15.507 kg of marijuana across the two locations. 

The trio is currently being held at the Metro Jaya  Police headquarters for further interrogation to identify their supply network.
