The BRI Super League Week 21 match at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium saw the visitors dominate the first half, with Henri Doumbia and Moussa Sidibe finding the net before the interval.

Persebaya fought back in the second half, but Bhayangkara’s defensive discipline in the closing minutes made it impossible to salvage a point, according to antaranews.com

Despite a spirited second-half revival led by Mihailo Perovic, who pulled one back in the 63rd minute after brilliant setup play by Gali Freitas, the "Green Force" could not find an equalizer against a resolute Aqil Savik in goal. 

The loss leaves Persebaya stagnant in fifth place with 35 points, while the crucial three points propel Bhayangkara to eighth in the standings. This upset serves as a major wake-up call for the Surabaya giants as the title race intensifies.
