Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has halted a total of 3,240 illegal financial entities throughout 2024, including 2,930 illegal online loan providers and 310 illegal investment offerings, according to OJK's Executive Head for Business Behavior Supervision, Education, and Consumer Protection, Frederica Widyasari Dewi.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday (7/1/2025), she said, "These actions aim to protect the public from potential harm caused by illegal financial operations."

The OJK Task Force for Combating Illegal Financial Activities (Satgas PASTI) identified and blocked 1,692 contact numbers linked to illegal online loan debt collectors, according to antaranews.com.

Throughout the year, OJK received 16,231 complaints related to illegal entities, with the majority (15,162) concerning illegal online loans. The authority also imposed penalties on 100 financial service providers for late reporting and issued fines to 81 entities, compensating consumers for losses totaling Rp 212.17 billion.
