In his statement, he said that in reality, the online gambling practice only sucks the wealth of the gamblers dry.

"Those who think that online gambling is a way out of poverty are clearly wrong, it actually goes into the pockets of online gambling operators. People who are caught in online gambling addiction are in debt and even lose all their wealth," he said on Friday (10/4/2024).

For this reason, the community is asked to end their participation in online gambling. Because in addition to having an increasingly difficult economic impact on the community, apparently the practice also has a psychological impact on the gamblers.

The psychological impact is not only experienced by the gamblers, but also those closest to them.

"To date, there have been more than 10 cases of suicide due to online gambling. Hundreds of thousands of children are also addicted to online gambling. It even causes thousands of divorce cases to occur," he concluded.
