Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police has deployed 2,335 joint personnel to secure the upcoming 2026 World Cup Asian Qualifier match between Indonesia and Australia at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK) in Jakarta on Tuesday.

"We've deployed 2,335 joint personnel," said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam Indradi, on Monday (9/9/2024).

In addition to the Indonesian National Police (INP), the security team includes members of the Indonesian Military (TNI), and the Jakarta administration, according to antaranews.com.

Traffic arrangements will be managed situationally depending on the conditions around the stadium.

"Those without any business in the area during the 7 p.m. match will be directed by our officers," added Chief Ade Ary.

Officers will ensure that no dangerous items, such as sharp objects or flares, are brought into the venue, starting from the GBK entrance to the stadium's main field. Spectators are also advised to follow the rules regarding personal belongings and maintain orderly conduct during the event.
