inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Purwadi Arianto emphasized the importance of a humanist approach in police services, as part of  human resources (HR) reform.

"This is expected to strengthen public trust through a more empathetic approach, as well as understanding the needs of the community," said Purwadi in his statement in Jakarta, Friday (5/9/2025).

In the 2025 Indonesian National Police (INP) HR and Logistics Technical Working Meeting (Rakernis), he explained that integrity is the main foundation in building public trust in the police. According to him, public trust can be described with the formula "sincere + fast".

INP is required to have personnel who are not only physically strong, but also have integrity and are intellectually and morally competent. Therefore, INP human resources need to be equipped with various important qualities such as adaptability, mastery of technology, empathy, responsiveness, and also good public communication skills.

"INP personnel need transformational leaders who are role models for the people through integrity, moral values, and commitment to duty and the country. Leaders like this are able to move the others with a clear vision for the best service and dedication," explained Purwadi.

The success of INP human resource reform is reflected in the formation of a high performance culture and professional, modern and humanistic personnel. In addition, it is also determined by ethical violations and an increase in the service index which leads to public trust in police services.

"INP must continue to make continuous improvements by listening to and responding to feedback from the public. This effort is important to ensure that the services provided remain relevant, responsive, and build long-term trust," he added.
