Head of Public Relations Task Force for Operation Mantap Praja Cartenz II-2024 Central Papua Region, Superintendent Achmad Fauzan, revealed that the incident occurred when the gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidate group was traveling from Nabire Regency to Paniai Regency. Then, a group of people blocked the main road and asked for money which they called "passing permission money" before they can pass.

"The escort members acted quickly by negotiating on site, and through a persuasive approach, the situation could be resolved without confrontation. The blocking action ended peacefully, and the group continued their journey without any obstacles," said Achmad Fauzan in an official statement on Sunday (10/6/2024).

After the negotiations went smoothly, he said, the barrier was raised and the group continued their journey. The planned campaign process took place safely until the group returned to Nabire without any further interference.

"The entire series of activities, from the trip to the return of the group, went safely and smoothly thanks to the cooperation and quick response of the escort team in the field," he explained.

This incident shows the importance of a persuasive approach and good communication in dealing with difficult situations in the field, especially during the ongoing election process.
