Inspections included kitchens, training grounds, and barracks, with Minsister Sjafrie even checking soldiers’ meals and food preparation.
Sjafrie emphasized that the battalion units should not burden local communities but instead contribute positively through education, healthcare, agriculture, and livestock programs.
“The battalion strengthens defense while driving community welfare,” he said in a statement on Thursday (28/5/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com..
The visit highlighted the dual role of the territorial development infantry battalions in protecting national defense and supporting local economic growth, ensuring both facilities and personnel are ready for their mission.
