inp.polri.go.id – Papuan Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius D. Fakhiri, emphasized that the handling of armed criminal groups required the unification of perceptions from various parties. He conveyed this after holding a coordination meeting with the TNI and BIN to deal with the Armed Criminal Group which had been very troubling lately.
"We have held a coordination meeting with the TNI and BIN, with the aim of unifying our perception in handling the Armed Criminal Group," explained the Two-Star General, Monday (25/07/22).
The police stated that they would also held a meeting with regional leaders in Papua to handle the issue of the Armed Criminal Group.
"We want to convey to the public that the state is always beside the community, and here to provide services and security to them," said the Akabri graduate in 1990.
It was previously reported that an Armed Criminal Group led by Egianus Kogoya in Nduga Regency had massacred 11 civilians.
A few days later, a gold miner in the Bintang Mountains Regency died horribly after his head was beheaded by the Armed Criminal Group.
Previously, the Papua Regional Police had mapped seven regencies that became the base operation of the Armed Criminal Group, which is Nduga Regency, Intan Jaya, Puncak Jaya, Puncak, Yahukimo, Timika and the Bintang Mountains Regency. To deal with the Armed Criminal Groups in Papua, the National Police has formed a Special Task Force, namely the Cartenz Peace Task Force under the auspices of the Papua Regional Police.
