Inp.polri.go.id – Papua. The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) has announced the result of the election vote recapitulation on Wednesday (3/20/2024) night. The announcement was conveyed during the National-level Plenary Session for Election Vote Recapitulation Result. The Head of Papua Regional Police Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Papua says that the situation following the announcement of national vote recapitulation result in Papua relatively conducive. “Although, indeed there are several regencies/cities where there were protests for the election result, and even there were clashes between groups. However, thanks to the cooperation with all parties and elements, we could disperse the disturbance and prevent any fatalities,” said Senior Superintendent Benny. He implores for those who were running for the legislative election and did not win the chair to accept the final result gracefully and not to provoke their mass to cause ruckus. “We also asked those who won the election to instead prepare themselves for the work ahead,” said Benny. “The election rivalry is over and let us return to our daily activities as used to and maintain state unity for the realization of peaceful Papua,” concluded Benny.
