The officers of the Majalengka Police (Polres Majalengka) Traffic Unit (Satlantas) distributed masks for free in Lodaya Safety Operation 2022, to Bus Passengers and the public, Tuesday (8/3/2022). Head of Traffic (Kasatlantas) AKP Ngadiman explained that with the implementation of the 2022 Lodaya Safety Operation amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Satlantas Polres Majalengka continued to carry out socialization of orderly traffic and also giving masks to the community while educating health protocols, especially to the drivers on the road. "The Lodaya Safety Operation has been running from March 1 to 14, 2022, the Satlantas Polres Majalengka continues to massively provide education to the drivers through public addresses, also appeals to all people to continue to obey traffic rules for safety," said Ngadiman. AKP Ngadiman explained there were 8 targets in the Lodaya 2022 safety operation, including motorcycle drivers without helmets, surpassing speed limits, underage drivers, and those who do not wear seat belts. "And also drunk drivers, busy with cellphones while driving, going against the road flow and Overdimension and Overload (Odol) trucks," he added. Furthermore, AKP Ngadiman added that the implementation of the 2022 Lodaya safety operation was carried out with humanistic and persuasive pre-emptive and preventive activities. The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the West Java Police (Polda Jabar), Commissioner Ibrahim Tompo S.I.K., M.Si said that the distribution of health masks as part of their concern in protecting the community from Covid-19. Ngadiman hopes that the people of Majalengka Regency will comply with traffic regulations and adhere to health protocols. "So that a safe, smooth traffic situation could be achieved in the Covid-19 pandemic," he concluded.
