inp.polri.go.id – Jateng. The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Central Java Police (Polda Jateng), Commissioner M Iqbal Alqudusy ensures that the scarcity of cooking oil in the region has been resolved. This is based on the results of inspections by the Polda Jateng Food Task Force in hundreds of locations to ensure the availability of cooking oil and its prices in Central Java.
"Fortunately, the cooking oil problems have been resolved. Polda Jateng and stakeholders will continue to monitor the distribution of cooking oil and other needs through the Food Task Force," stated Kabidhumas, Wednesday (23/3/22).
As of March 20, 2022, the food task force has conducted inspections in 191 locations related to the distribution and sale of cooking oil.
Kabidhumas also emphasized that the availability of oil in Central Java is still sufficient based on the data and the available daily stockpiles. "The daily needs of cooking oil is 45,968 liters, while the total available stock in Central Java reaches 52,032 liters. So based on this data, oil stocks in Central Java are still safe," he explained.
However, Commissioner M Iqbal Alqudusy said that there were still vacancies in stock in several modern shops. For this reason, his party immediately investigated the field and contacted the distributor regarding the existing problems.
"There are shops, where when the goods (cooking oil) come, they will sell out immediately and it repeats several times, although there are stores whose stock is still normal. So it depends on the need of each region. Things that we should anticipate are irregularities, and late or stopped distribution. If there are deviations, we will conduct a strict action against it," explained Kabidhumas.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimsus) Polda Jateng, AKBP Rosyid Hartanto, stated that the food task force continues to patrol and monitor the availability of cooking oil, including its price in the market.
"On Monday, the food task force checked the information regarding the vacancy of oil stock in one of the shops in the Johar market. And turns out it was true. Because of this, they can only buy the cooking oil on Tuesday(22/3/22) morning," he explained.
Related to the problem, his party immediately asked the distributor to speed up the process and immediately deliver the goods. "The goods are immediately distributed to shops and sold out in the afternoon," he explained.
Based on the data from four major distributors of cooking oil in Central Java on March 22, the available stock of cooking oil has reached 6,780 tons. "We will continue to coordinate and supervise this issue. The Food Task Force advised to comply with government regulations regarding the distribution of cooking oil and the selling price," concluded AKBP Rosyid Hartanto, the Head of Sub-Directorate I / Indagsi.
