inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Polda Metro Jaya is preparing several security measures ahead of the MotoGP parade with President Jokowi in DKI Jakarta. Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Endra Zulpan said the police had made security plans for the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo and Joan Mir, and 19 other riders who would later be riding on the streets of Jakarta in the promotion of MotoGP Indonesia 2022. "Essentially, Polda Metro Jaya is ready to secure the activity," said Commissioner Endra Zulpan, Tuesday (15/03/22). Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya does not explain which route will be secured and used in the MotoGP parade. "We are still coordinating with the committee and Paspampres regarding the route to be used," said the Intermediate Officer of the Polda Metro Jaya. A total of 16 MotoGP racers, along with four other racers from other events and classes, will accompany Jokowi in the parade which starts and ended in Merdeka Palace. However, the 2021 MotoGP champion, Fabio Quartararo, was not included in the list. The Mandalika 2022 MotoGP series itself will start one day after the parade, which is on Thursday (17/3/2022). On that day, the drivers will undergo a press conference before taking action in the first and second free practice sessions the following day.
