He emphasized that they can be punished. One of those essential goods that are currently difficult to find is cooking oil. Related to this, the Head of Sub-Directorate (Kasubdit) for Indagsi at the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the Bengkulu Police (Polda Bengkulu), Commissioner Novi Ari, S.H., M.H., Monday (14/03/22) revealed that from the investigation conducted so far, his party has not found any kinds of hoarding. "We can't just blatantly accuse that a person is a hoarder, because we have a law. A hoarder is a business actor who intentionally doesn't distribute goods that are usually sold out within a certain time, but they intentionally hold it until the price soars high and sold it at that moment. Now that is a hoarder," said Kasubdit Indagsi Dit Reskrimsus Polda Bengkulu. Kasubdit Indagsi said that until now his party has not found any hoarders, be they business actors or individuals, he expects the public to also monitor and report to the authorities if they know any information on hoarding "Yes, if someone sells oil above HET, we will inspect it first. If they buy it at a high price and then resell it above HET, then we must check them first. They cannot be said as a hoarder blatantly." concluded Kasubdit Indagsi.
