Polda Sulsel Has Collected 8 Antemortem Data of KM Ladang Pertiwi

inp.polri.go.id – The collection of antemortem data on the families of the victims of the sinking of the Ladang Pertiwi 02 Motor Ship (KM) has been carried out by the Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) Team of the Regional Police (Polda) of South Sulawesi (Sulsel). Currently, eight antemortem data on the victims of the sinking of KM Ladang Pertiwi 02 have been collected, while 18 passengers are still being searched. The Head of the DVI Medical Team of Polda Sulsel, Commissioner Yusuf Mawadi said that the police had build a DVI post at Paotere Port, Makassar. Since the post was opened, there have only been eight antemortem data on the families of the victims of the sinking of KM Ladang Pertiwi 02. "The total number of antemortem family data that we have received are eight. The antemortem data is about the victims," explained the Intermediate Officer of the South Sulawesi Police, Wednesday (01/06/22). Police Commissioner Yusuf Mawadi admitted that until the fifth day of the search, 32 people had been found, 31 were found in a safe condition, while one person died. "From the information we received when the incident happened, we already heard that a woman's body was found by her family. However, the team is still investigating around the crime scene, how is the condition of the victim, whether identification is needed or not," he said. He said that the police is fine when the victim's family refused to bring the body to Makassar for identification. He admitted that the identification process could be done in many ways, including by using electronic media.
