The Illegal Drilling Special Investigation Unit of Jambi Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate thwarts the illegal oil mining in Muaro Jambi Regency on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 aat 04.30 am. During the raid, three suspects by the initials of JK, IB, and GP were arrested by the police. “We immediately dispatch our special unit to the location after receiving the information, and there we saw the suspected illegal oil mining,” Public Information officials, Second Police Inspector Alamsyah Amir on Thursday (1/11/2024). Furthermore, team also found and secured three ilegal mining items belonging to the three suspects. “Suspect arrested are JK and GP as workers, and IB as the well owner,” said Alamsyah. Other than arresting the suspects, police also secured several pieces of evidence used by suspects in their illegal oil mining activity. The evidence secured by the police are canting pipes, ropes, pulleys and jerry cans which believed to contain the petroleum from illegal oil mining. (ad/rd/pr/nm)
