inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Mobile Investigation Unit of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency followed up on a public report received through "Bang Resmob" channel by arresting two perpetrators of the alleged kidnapping of a man in Jakarta.

The Head of INP Mobile Investigation Unit, Senior Superintendent Teuku Arsya Khadafi, explained that his unit initially received a complaint of alleged kidnapping, hostage-taking, and assault through "Bang Resmob" on May 14, 2026.

The police then issued an investigation warrant based on the public report and visited the Wijoyo Motor Showroom in Cakung District, East Jakarta, on the same date.

"The police then managed to locate the victim, identified as RNA, who was being held captive on the second floor of the Wijoyo Motor Showroom," said Teuku on Monday (5/18/2026). 

In addition, the police arrested two suspected perpetrators, identified as AB and RN, and seized evidence such as three cell phones.

"The police then handed over the victims, the alleged perpetrators, and the evidence to the Cakung Sector Police, the East Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, and the Jakarta Regional Metro Police," continued Teuku.

"The response to this case demonstrates the police's swift action in following up on public complaints," he emphasized.
