inp.polri.go.id - Alor. In constructing the bridge that connects Central Kalabahi District and Nusa Kenari District, East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police deploys their 18 personnel for support. The team began to work at 11.00 a.m, led by First Police Inspector Urbanus Widiyan.
The construction of the bridge was to help ease the mobility of people and guaranteeing student’s safety as they have to cross the area everyday.
The East Nusa Tenggara Regional (NTT) Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra, says that police presence amidst the people are not only meant to ensure security, but also as a solution for various public needs.
“The bridge construction is concrete evidence of police service as the guardian and servants of the public. We want to ensure that people, especially students, have safe and proper access in their daily activities,” said Henry.
He added that the collaboration between police personnel and the public was key to the success of this activity. The NTT Regional Police are committed to continuing to assist the community, especially in areas requiring special attention in terms of basic infrastructure.
With the completion of the initial construction phase of the connecting bridge, it is hoped that activities in the surrounding community will run more smoothly, safely, and comfortably, while also strengthening the integration of INP and the community in the East Nusa Tenggara region.
