Pekalongan Sub-regional Police have questioned nine witnesses and collected evidence to solve the shooting of Amat Muzakhim (56), the husband of Central Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) member Nur Fatwah. The shooting was carried out by an unknown assailant on Saturday night (2/14/2026).
Pekalongan Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Rachmad C Yusuf, stated that the investigation team had conducted intensive questioning of witnesses, including the victim.
"The investigation team from the Pekalongan Sub-regional Police and the Central Java Regional Police's General Criminal Investigation Directorate have conducted intensive questioning of witnesses in the field. We have conducted intensive questioning of approximately nine witnesses, and all have been completed," he explained on Tuesday (2/17/2026).
In addition to questioning witnesses, he said, investigators also collected and analyzed CCTV footage from the area around the incident. Preliminary results indicate that the perpetrator was suspected of having control of the situation before committing the crime.
"From the CCTV footage we have collected and analyzed, the perpetrator immediately headed north after leaving the scene. We see that the perpetrator has mapped and conducted analysis in the field," he said.
