inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police have uncovered an alleged corruption case at the Ministry of Agriculture implicating the former Director of Agricultural Financing, Indah Megahwati. Another suspect, identified as DSD, is also named in this case.
Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, stated that the case stemmed from a complaint filed by the Minister of Agriculture, attaching the results of an audit by the Jakarta Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). The initial audit revealed alleged state losses related to official travel orders amounting to IDR 9 billion.
"However, during further investigation, witness examinations, evidence review, and the audit, losses of IDR 5.94 billion were discovered," he explained on Wednesday (1/28/2026).
He explained that the losses occurred between 2020 and 2024. In this case, the two suspects served as treasurers.
Regarding the suspects' confession regarding the alleged demand for IDR 5 billion by investigators, Budi emphasized that this was untrue. He confirmed that the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Professional and Security Division has conducted an in-depth investigation.
"There was no indication of a demand for IDR 5 billion from the suspect.
So, that's a misperception created by the suspect. The IDR 5.94 billion was the result of the last audit, based on findings from the suspect's embezzlement," he said.
He emphasized that the investigation is ongoing. Investigators also ensure that the case is handled according to procedure.
