inp.polri.go.id - Bangka Belitung. Investigators from the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Bangka Belitung Regional Police have again named one new suspect in the tin sand smuggling case in East Belitung Regency, bringing the total number of suspects to three people.

Head of Public Relations of the Bangka Belitung Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Fauzan Sukmawansyah said that the new suspect has the initials JO. The new suspect has been detained at the Bangka Belitung Regional Police Detention Center.

"Yes, according to the information from our investigators, there is another additional suspect in this case," explained Fauzan on Wednesday (3/5/2025).

The detention of the suspect, said Fauzan, was carried out based on the Police Report dated January 30, 2025 regarding the disclosure of the tin sand smuggling case in East Belitung Regency.

"The suspect will be detained for the next 20 days starting from February 27 to March 18," he said.
